While the URA claimed to improve the Yau Mong open space from minus 19 hectares to plus 8 hectares, we found that at least 12 original sitting-out areas/parks “disappeared” in the latest Yau Mong redevelopment by the URA, with a total of close to 1.79 hectares. If Yauwang loses these rest spaces, the nearby residents will have no space to bury.
If researchers are not careful, I believe company banner design it is difficult to find the disappearance of 12 parks in the blueprint. Through the current Google Maps satellite image and the concept map of "Existing and Planned Open Space" in the "Open Space Framework" in the official Yau Mong research booklet, the location and spatial layout of the existing Yau Mong sitting-out areas/parks are matched one by one.
4 are located within the site selection area of Yauwang redevelopment "development node":
Man Cheong Street Park (near Pat Man House), located in the "West Kowloon Gateway Comprehensive Development Node".
