Description
The Wicam Pn 4000 is a dual-frequency Power and Narrowband HF (2m and 1.4m) radio. It will convert from narrowband to broadband, and power from narrowband to wideband on the fly with just a few clicks of a button.
A handy power supply allows you to operate the Pn 4000 off of three standard batteries, meaning no bulky PC is required. Up to 500 hours of operation off of two CR123A batteries is possible with the supplied, included lithium battery charger. A CR2032 battery provides power for an additional 50 hours, while a 18650 battery gives you up to an incredible 1000 hours of operation!
The radio's dimensions are only 17 x 8.6 x 8.6cm (6.6 x 3.3 x 3.3in). The Pn 4000 is extremely light at only 56g (1.89oz). Four VHF/UHF bands and four Narrowband HF bands are accessible with the Wicam Pn 4000. The UHF and VHF bands are up to 1.5MHz wide.
The Wicam Pn 4000 is equipped with a handy speakerphone which allows you to talk privately to a distant radio contact. Call signs can be found in the 'Find Call Signs' menu.
The Wicam Pn 4000 is battery powered, meaning no desk space is required and it is an ideal radio for mobile or portable operation. With a low RF noise level of only 12dB, the radio is extremely sensitive and can be used in places such as forests and mountains.
The Wicam Pn 4000 operates on DC power, and uses an output of 2.4V. The radio is very efficient and still produces excellent performance when operating on a 6V supply.
The Wicam Pn 4000 is a completely digital radio. The Pn 4000 is a fully programmable radio, with five user-programmable channels. The Pn 4000 is also capable of operating as an ad-hoc (crowd-networking) radio, with up to 16 users on the network!
The Wicam Pn 4000 has an extremely accurate crystal radio receiver that allows for great performance, even in remote locations. Reception can be enhanced with the included tuner, allowing you to filter out the unwanted 'noise' of 1.8MHz to 1.9MHz.
The Wicam Pn 4000 is extremely accurate with a typical accuracy of around 1% (HPA). Due to its accuracy and low RF noise level, the Pn 4000 is extremely effective in both short and long range radio communications.
The Wicam Pn 4000 has the ability to operate in three different modes, Power, Narrowband HF and 0b46394aab
